About Us

The Youth Braiding Academy is an exhilarating and empowering Program that offers hair braiding and entrepreneurship training to young individuals between the ages of 8 and 17. This engaging and hands-on program is suitable for a variety of settings including public and private schools, homeschooling, churches, sororities, recreational parks, government agencies, and more.

Our program can be implemented during regular school hours or as an extracurricular activity, and is also available during spring and summer breaks. By participating in the Youth Braiding Academy, students not only develop their academic and technical skills, but also gain valuable insights into high-demand careers. We provide opportunities for career exploration and work-based learning, creating pathways that can lead to further education, training, or employment.

Our ultimate goal is to ensure that all students achieve long-term economic security through career-connected learning. At the Youth Braiding Academy, we don't just focus on teaching hair braiding techniques and entrepreneurship skills. Students will learn various braiding styles, including cornrows, box braids, and twists, and will have the opportunity to practice on mannequin heads and live models.
